The owner, Bonnie J. Wilson, graduated from the University of Washington. Bonnie found a Job through a Temporary job agency working for a major department in downtown Seattle. Shortly after working in the sportswear department, in June, one of the cosmetic vendors put up a list offering to train ten employees in the art of make-up artistry to work their cosmetics counter during the upcoming holiday season. Bonnie was one of the ten chosen. After working as a Make-Up artist for two years, Bonnie decided to become a Cosmetologist and opened her first salon in 1994 on Capital Hill in Seattle. Our Braid Stylist, UMOYA McKinney, was trained in braiding by her mother, Iman Finley, who is a phenomenal braider and has trained UMOYA well in the art of braiding.
