Our goals and philosophy
We are a school-age child care located at Olympic View Elementary School. Our mission is to embrace the individuality and uniqueness of each child, and support children's natural desire to play, create, and explore. We also wish to provide a space where all children feel welcome, safe, and valued, and to guide children in inclusiveness and collaboration with others.
We allow children to choose what they want to spend their time doing. We provide a room full of materials that children have free access to so they can create what they want, and play with what they want. Kids often work together to carry out ideas as a group. You can often see our children teaching other children how to do something. We are a multi-aged group (Kindergarten - twelve years).

My name is Erin McCargar, and I opened the child care in 2012. I come from 45 years of working with children. It was important to me to provide a program that is child-based. I love my business when I see what I call "the magic". When I see kids are all enjoying themselves, jiving together, feeling good about what they're doing or working on. I love it when parents come to pick up and their child asks them to come back later. I often see children of all ages working and collaborating together- utilizing each individual's strengths to carry out a group goal. My staff are my partners. They share my philosophy. We work as a team towards a shared goal.
My kids go there everyday after school, and they love it! Often they refuse to come home when we try to pick them up. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Great place for kids to socialize. Totally recommend for any parents who are looking for after school programs for their kids!
My son always has so much fun. He could go on and on about his day there, and the staff are super nice too! Definitely reccomend for any busy parents.
We love Collaboration Station! Our daughter has been with them since her Kindergarten year and we have been so impressed with the program. So thankful to be a part of it!
